In between working, learning, and taking care of my family, I have developed a passion for painting. I use it to relax and decompress while allowing the colors and brush strokes to inspire me. Acrylic paint is my medium of choice. The versatility, affordability, and quick dry time are what attracts me. I approach my painting like I do my photography and design work. I break the image down into layers. I freehand my paintings without applying preliminary drawing. I feel that this allows me to be spontaneous with my inspiration. I apply color directly to the canvas and layer colors and elements to achieve the end result. Paints are mixed, blended and moved on the canvas as well as on the palette. The finished piece, with its unique application, hints at my methodology and if I am successful, conveys to the audience all that moved me to paint the subject in the first place.

I have added this portion of my website after much persuading from family and friends to sell my paintings. When I first discovered my talent, I had no intentions of displaying my work. I just enjoyed painting and it made me happy. I gave them away, and hung many on the walls in my home. After many requests to purchase my work, I decided to give myself some credit and accept that people might actually like my work.
